#The SANKOFA INITIATIVE

The Sankofa Initiative is a 12-week series that focuses on holistic coaching, therapeutic support, psychoeducation, implicit bias, social justice framework, and mindfulness education to increase the understanding of mental health risk factors and build equitable spaces for youth and communities of color.

Participants engage in the following units:

- Social Emotional Learning - Psychoeducation - Critical Thinking - African Diaspora - Financial Literacy

Members of the Sankofa Initiative are seeking to be active listeners to young people, while providing them with crucial resources. Everyone Has a Story aims to normalize the conversation around mental wellness and promote compassion for others one story at a time.

#Therightconversation

Moderated by Dr. Corey Yeager, a licensed marriage and psychotherapist, #TheRightConversation is a panel dedicated to helping to center the voices of minority groups through the lens of professional athletes, sports executives, and wellness professionals. This 60-minute program aims to normalize the conversation around mental health and promote compassion for others one story at a time.

SPREAD LOVE

Spread Love is a community service activation event that promotes compassion for others through acts of service. Impact partners include: Women’s Shelter Chicago and Homeless Shelter Salt Lake City.

31 SHADES OF GREEN

31 Shades of Green = 31 days of EHAS sharing diverse and unique stories during Mental Health Awareness Month. Each day highlights components or care and wellness through the lens of everyday people.
